Safety & Security

  • Any student being dropped to class by a driver or maid, parents have to introduce them to the teacher. In case someone else is coming to pick up the child, parents need to inform in advance as well. 

Classes

The Minimum age for joining the school is 6 years. There is no upper limit. During the first two yers, students wll be trained in various exercises, yoga, stories from Indian mythology, basics of dance, theory, Mudhras, Sholka's etc. Then Margam will star. The above mentioned details may vary as each child is different.

  • Students have to come in the prescribed uniform of kurtha & pyjama, a color will be given to the student.

  • New students will have one month to get their uniform stitched. 

  • Hygiene has to be maintained.

Uniform

Phycial class:

There will be 2 classes per week and each class will be for an hour. The minimum age for joining the school is 6 years. There is no upper limit.

Etiquette

  • Parents have to inculcate restroom/toilet manners to their child.

Arangetram:

This is the first step after completing all items in a complex repertoire. It is also the students’ first formal stage debut where they present all pieces learnt. The performance generally lasts for two hours.

Bindi, Bangles should be worn by girl students. Dresses should contain sleeves, with a dupatta. Hair needs to be neatly tied up. Class attendance is mandatory with no late coming; exceptions only for emergencies.

Examinations

For any dance related examination a minimum of 1 year of learning is must.

Attendance

  • Classes missed by the student will not be compensated. However, If the class is canceled by the school, it will be compensated.

  • The teacher has to be informed by parents/guardians about leave or late coming in advance.

  • If the child is unwell parents are requested not to send them to the class.

Online class:

We have exclusive, Online Bharatanatyam lessons that will be taught personally, live, on a 1-on-1 basis or as a group too.

Learn Bhajan Dance:

This form of dance involves yoga and meditation with prayer-like-songs.

Bhajans are devotional songs/prayers/mantra/kirtan used to glorify God and convey our  love to the divine. Essentially, it’s simple melodious lyrics and ragas have the same effect as meditation with light dance. For the seeker, it treads the path to become one with the divine. It is the best and easy way to reach the divine. 

Fee

  • Fees must be paid in online through UPI or any other online transfer.
